Privacy model
Only verifiable facts: keys stored locally, read only by the worker, direct to the selected service, no relay and no telemetry.
Keys live only locally
AI search-service keys are stored in chrome.storage.local and read only by the background service worker. UI pages and local agents never read stored keys.
Requests go direct to the selected service
When authentication requires it, a key is sent to the AI search service you select. Queries reach the selected service or conventional engine.
No relay, no telemetry
In its current local mode, Juso operates no request proxy and sends no telemetry. Browsers, networks, and third-party services may still record requests; Juso cannot guarantee anonymity or control their logging.
Export stays in your custody
Configuration export is user-initiated and includes unencrypted keys and preferences. The export is sensitive and remains in your custody; Juso operates no backup or sync service.
Fully open source
Juso's complete local search loop — the extension, source integrations, agent access, local configuration, and cache — is open under MPL-2.0. This does not imply that possible future hosted or operational services will be open source or free.
There's another face: Agent Bridge
Toggle Agent Bridge in settings and local agents can search through the same browser — credentials stay inside the extension.
In a Chromium browser with Juso installed, local AI agents can call your configured AI search APIs or search conventional engines through a real browser — credentials stay inside the extension, and agents never receive them.
